I am an amateur bird photographer who pursues this activity as a hobby. Birds are as beautiful a subject as any for photography. The spectacular array of color, size and behavior in them is a joy to see. I love the various elements of bird photography like getting to the right setting, a sense of adventure in getting to the right places for the right shot, the element of patience in waiting for them to arrive there, the element of luck involved in getting just the right bird at the right spot, the sense of frustration when they fly away just before you could take the perfect click, and the joy when it all comes together for that beautiful shot. Each time I get a good shot of a beautiful bird, I love viewing it again and again and appreciating its beauty. In this regard, I am reminded of the famous line by John Keats – “A thing of beauty is a joy forever”. This is the driving philosophy for this site. This site is not intended for documentation or diversity. Hence you might find multiple photos of the same species or even of the same bird, as long as I find it aesthetically beautiful and worth sharing. I hope viewing these images gives as much joy to you as it does to me.
